During the last weeks Alpina made further tests with FIA Institute with emphasis on fine tuning of our highspeed-barrier to dissipate more energy within short distance, to keep G-forces on drivers within acceptable limits and to minimise the risk of injuiries.

An additional investigation of a new layout of our highspeed front panel will be done within the next time too. The aim will be to avoid penetration and going over and under and the results of these tests will be very important for the improvement of existing tyre barriers with regards to penetration and with regards to their effectiveness to manage higher velocities in less space.

New safety barrier for Speedway-Events!! 

Based on our experience from motorcycle road-racing we made the step to speedway-dirt track racing and can present our brandnew "Alpina Airmodul A600" now.

This safety product has been used for the first time at the German Finals in Landshut in September 2009 and proved to be a perfect impact absorber during several impacts.

Also next weekend (3.10.2009) the "Alpina Airmodul A600" will be in use in Landshut for the German Teams Finals to continue the efforts to increase safety level for Speedway Sport in Germany.

Our new F1 High Speed Barrier will be presented at the Professional Motorsport World Expo 2008 in Köln (Germany) in November 2008. This Barrier has been developed in cooperation with the FIA Insititute for improving safety level at Formula 1 circuits and approval has been given to Alpina last December.
